dc.description.abstract A defense of the South Carolina militia and criticism of Colonel James Grant, the British army officer who conducted the campaigns. Attributed to Christopher Gadsden by Shipton & Mooney. Gadsden's first Philopatrios letter was published in the South Carolina gazette, Dec. 18, 1762. Evans entry 9242 is an imperfect description of the present item.
