dc.description The Aberdeen Corpus of Older Scots (ACOS) is a poetic corpus and spans from 1375 to 1513. It contains all extant works by Gavin Douglas, including King Hart, all extant works by William Dunbar, and all extant works by John Barbour - namely the Brus. In the titles and the texts, the symbol <#> reflects yogh, <ȝ>. <ȝ> has been replaced owing to the difficulty concordancers have retrieving words that contain this medieval letter. ACOS was compiled in 2011 as part of Charles-Henri Discry's doctoral research at the University of Aberdeen. It is compiled from the following editions: 1. Barbour, J. (1856). The Brus (C. Innes, Ed.). Spalding Club (Original work published 1375) 2. Dunbar, W. (1998). The poems of William Dunbar (P. Bawcutt, Ed.). Association for Scottish Literary Studies. 3. Douglas, G. (2003). The shorter poems of Gavin Douglas (P. Bawcutt, Ed.). The Scottish Text Society. 4. Douglas, G. (1957). Virgil’s Aeneid, Translated into Scottish Verse by Gavin Douglas, Bishop of Dunkeld, Edited with Notes and Glossary (F.C.D. Coldwell, Ed.). (Vol. 2). The Scottish Text Society. 5. Douglas, G. (1959). Virgil’s Aeneid, Translated into Scottish Verse by Gavin Douglas, Bishop of Dunkeld, Edited with Notes and Glossary (F.C.D. Coldwell, Ed.). (Vol. 3). The Scottish Text Society. 6. Douglas, G. (1960). Virgil’s Aeneid, Translated into Scottish Verse by Gavin Douglas, Bishop of Dunkeld, Edited with Notes and Glossary (F.C.D. Coldwell, Ed.). (Vol. 4). The Scottish Text Society.
