WHEREAS the Bearers hereof, Mrs. Jone Conoway Widow, the late Wife of James Conoway Gentleman, and Mary Long Widow the late Wife of Derby Long Gentleman, with their Children; Having beene humble Petitioners to the Honourable houses of Parliament for reliefe towards their great losses, sustained by the Rebels of the Kingdome of Ireland, and as yet cannot have any Reliefe, by reason of other matters of State, now in Agitation; and therefore are referred untill further Opportunity. And now residing heere in languishing and starving Condition, wanting meanes for their present support; And therefore wee much pitying and tenderly weighing their deplorable condition, Knowing them to bee true Protestants, and the Premisses really true, doe hereby earnestly request all faithfull Ministers of Gods word to stirre up their severall Congregations to extend their pious and charitable Benevolence, towards the present and future Reliefe of these poore widowes and their Fatherlesse children, And the Churchwardens Constables and other Officers to shew them all lawfull and favourable respects, and relieving and lodging in due time, to prevent the danger of the Law, and molestation by Soldiers or others. It being an Act, and deed of charitie to relieve the poore and to helpe the distressed. Given under our hands and Seale of the City of Westminster, the 7 th. day of August 1649. Anno Dom. The bearers hereof are allowed nine Moneths to finish their Journey and no longer at their perils.
