The CASE concerning Monmouth Election.

AT the Election for a Burgess to serve in this present Parliament for the Borough of Monmouth in the County of Monmouth, (which Borough sends but one Burgess) there were Competitors,

The Honourable CHARLES Lord HERBERT, Eldest Son to the Marquiss of Worcester; And JOHN ARNOLD Esq

Mr. Arnold had the Majority of Votes; but the Mayor of Monmouth unduly Return'd the Lord Herbert.

The Merits of this Election are to be heard before the Committee of Elections and Privi­ledges, on Wednesday the 24th day of this In­stant November, 1680.
